Oli Bayliss returned to the top step of the Quattro Group British Supersport podium today, dominating his way to a second win of the season at Snetterton Circuit. The Australian kept his 100% podium streak going in the 2026 British Supersport Championship, also recording a second-place finish in Saturday’s Sprint Race in Norwich.

Round four of the British Supersport Championship burst into life at Snetterton this weekend with Oli Bayliss marking his second round of the season aboard the Macadam Triumph Factory Racing Street Triple 765 RS with a double podium visit.

The Australian arrived at the latest round of the season fresh from victory at Knockhill and aimed to replicate that success at the circuit where he enjoyed a podium in 2025, his only appearance in the championship last year.

Kicking off his weekend on the front foot, the number 68 rider stormed to a front-row start for Saturday’s ten-lap Sprint Race, securing third place on the grid.

Making a strong getaway to the first of two races, the 22-year-old leapt into second on the opening lap and immediately hit the front at the start of the second tour. As the laps ticked away, Bayliss held his nerve despite increased pressure from Luke Stapleford behind and saw the pair start the final lap of the three-mile venue neck-and-neck.

With Bayliss out front, a move came from Stapleford into Nelson’s, but Bayliss used the power of the 765 triple engine to move back ahead at the Bombhole. As the duo entered Coram, the wider line from the Triumph rider allowed his rival to sneak through into the final corner. Undeterred, the previous race winner tried all he could to accelerate back ahead on the run to the chequered flag but came up short by just 0.024 seconds after an enthralling ten-lap battle.

Determined to go one better on Sunday, the Macadam Triumph rider made another fast start to the 14-lap Feature Race, putting himself in podium contention from the off. A cluster of early-race passes saw him secure the lead of the race and from there on in, he didn’t look back. Lap by lap, the race leader extended his advantage as he settled into his rhythm. Working in harmony with his Street Triple machine, Bayliss secured victory by 6.975 seconds, marking his second win of the year and his fourth podium finish in four races so far this season.

Meanwhile, it was a tough weekend for Max Wadsworth. The number 72 rider made a promising start to Saturday’s opening race, but a mistake at the end of the Bentley Straight saw him run off the circuit, relinquishing valuable time to his rivals. Rejoining the race at the back of the field, the Halifax-based rider collected valuable data ahead of the Feature Race on Sunday.

Starting from 18th, Wadsworth held position on the opening lap and maintained his place in the fight throughout the race. By the midway stage, he was locked in battle with Josh Bannister and secured 19th at the chequered flag.

SENCAT by Swan Racing’s Lee Johnston returned to the top five this weekend with fine fifth and fourth-place finishes across the weekend’s two encounters.

Oli Bayliss’ brace of podium visits and second win of the season see him solidify sixth place in the standings, closing the gap to the championship leader to 90 points despite missing the opening two races of the season.

Bayliss will return to racing action next weekend as he swaps back to the PTR Triumph Factory Racing Street Triple 765 RS for the home round of the FIM Supersport World Championship at Donington Park. The Quattro Group British Supersport Championship resumes at Brands Hatch on July 17-19.

Oli Bayliss - Macadam Triumph Factory Racing

“A really positive weekend! A shame we couldn't do the double, but today’s race I’m obviously happy with. Victory with a very good gap! I had the same feeling as yesterday but was able to get to the front and make a gap today. It’s been a really positive weekend, we missed out on the win by an inch yesterday but made it count today. We’ll now focus on Donington Park for World Supersport this weekend and then straight into Brands Hatch after! Thanks everyone for their support.”

Max Wadsworth - Macadam Triumph Factory Racing

“Saturday started well for me having smashed my personal best lap time and felt good on my Triumph Street Triple 765 RS, then sadly in the opening laps of the Sprint Race my weekend unravelled. I made a good start and was settling in but at the end of Bentley Straight I just got dragged into the corner and had to go straight on. When you lose that much time, it’s hard to recover but I dug in and took the chequered flag. As for today’s race, we started 18th and again pushed as hard as I could but unfortunately, for whatever reason, I wasn’t able to make the progress I’d have liked. I have to say sorry to the team, it wasn’t how we had hoped the weekend would have panned out but we’ll regroup and give it another go at Brands Hatch.”
