The 5.11 Triumph Factory Racing team concluded their third season in the AMA Pro Motorcross Championship with a historic day at Ironman Raceway as Mikkel Haarup delivered another breakthrough result in the 450MX class aboard his TF 450-X.

Ending the season the way he began it, Haarup rocketed to a strong start in the opening 450MX moto and ended the opening lap in fourth. Within a couple of laps, he had climbed into third, a position he held with composure throughout. A late mistake in the final turn cost him a shot at the moto podium, but he still salvaged fourth – a career-best result for both him and the TF 450-X.

Haarup's start in the second moto was less effective, yet he still rounded turn one inside of the top 10. His charge forward was halted by an error at the halfway mark – one that dropped him outside of the top 10. Nevertheless, he pushed on and concluded the second moto in 14th. A 4-14 scorecard left him in 10th in the overall classification and helped him confirm ninth in the 450MX championship standings.

Jordon Smith underlined his top 10 speed at the 2026 AMA Pro Motocross Championship finale. Locked in a duel for ninth for the duration of 450MX moto one, he crossed the finish line in 10th, just ahead of the defending champion. A misstep off the line left him outside of the top 20 early in moto two, but an impressive showing saw him climb all the way to 13th by the checkered flag. Smith was confirmed in 11th in the 450MX championship standings via 12th overall at the AMA Pro Motocross Championship finale.

The 5.11 Triumph Factory Racing squad can reflect on the improvements made in the 2026 AMA Pro Motocross Championship with fondness, but attention will soon turn to the SMX World Championship postseason. The first playoff will be run in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, September 12. Haarup and Smith have been seeded into the 450SMX postseason field thanks to their points earned in 2026.

Mikkel Haarup:

"It was an awesome day. The team did a great job all weekend. We put ourselves in a decent position after qualification, then I had a decent start in moto one. I pushed to put myself in third and battled to the end with Cooper Webb. I made a little mistake over the finish line and lost the position, but what an experience. It was a great weekend. A massive thank you to the team."

Jordon Smith:

"It was a little bit of an up-and-down day. I rode pretty well in the first moto after a positive start. We made some changes to the bike for the second moto, but I made a mistake off the line and had to come through the field. I took 13th in that moto. I'm just so proud of the team for this season. They stuck behind me and pushed me to become a regular in the top ten. Now it's time to get started on the SuperMotocross track."

"Today was a very positive day overall for Triumph. Mikkel delivered our best-ever moto finish with a fourth in moto one and came incredibly close to a moto top three finish, losing third in the final turn. He gave us everything he had in that first moto and, most importantly, we showed that we have the speed and capability to run at the front. Jordon had a strong first moto too and, despite a mistake off the start putting him at the back in moto two, he fought hard and rode really well. Overall, today was another step in the right direction. Looking back at the season as a whole, we have a lot to be proud of. We have made significant strides as a team. I am very proud of the progress everyone has made."
