Joyon Triumphs Again at EnduroGP Portugal as Sydow Continues Podium Streak

Joyon Triumphs Again at EnduroGP Portugal as Sydow Continues Podium Streak
Racing Triumph Motorcycles 22nd Jun 2026

Triumph Factory Racing’s Leo Joyon and Jeremy Sydow have completed another successful weekend at round five of the 2026 FIM EnduroGP World Championship in Fafe, Portugal. Joyon secured his second overall Junior victory of the season and another double podium finish, while Sydow maintained his impressive run of Enduro1 podium results aboard the TF 250-E.

For the second Portuguese round, Triumph Factory Racing unveiled a special ‘Art of Moto’ livery, created in partnership with SKDA. The unique design formed part of a wider collaboration that saw Triumph Factory Racing machines carrying the special graphics across four different racing disciplines during the same weekend, including EnduroGP, Hard Enduro, MX2, and Pro Motocross competition.

Leo Joyon continued his excellent run of form in the Junior category. After placing fifth in Friday evening’s Super Test, the Frenchman made an immediate impact on Saturday by winning the opening test of the day by over two seconds. Running second at the end of lap one, he steadily increased the pressure on the leader, claiming three test wins and a further four top-three test results. A strong second lap moved Joyon into the overall lead, and from there he controlled the race brilliantly, avoiding the mistakes that caught out many of his rivals in the dry, dusty conditions. His reward was a second overall Junior victory of the season by more than 14 seconds, as well as another Junior1 class win with a margin of 20 seconds.

On Sunday, Joyon again built momentum as the day progressed. After winning the first Cross Test of the day in Junior, he followed it up with victory in the opening Extreme Test of lap two and another runner-up result in the second Cross Test. Heading into the final lap just 10 seconds behind the leader, Joyon mounted a determined charge, winning the final Extreme Test and placing second on the last Enduro Test. Despite reducing the deficit to less than five seconds, he ultimately finished second overall in Junior and Junior1.

Jeremy Sydow once again demonstrated his growing confidence aboard the TF 250-E during another demanding weekend of racing. Saturday’s conditions were extremely hot, dry, and dusty, making visibility difficult throughout the special tests. Although a series of small mistakes prevented him from achieving the overall result he was targeting, Sydow still secured 12th in EnduroGP and another Enduro1 podium with third place in class.

Sunday started strongly, with Jeremy posting several impressive times during the opening lap, including fourth fastest on the Cross Test. Despite losing time to mistakes in the second Extreme and Enduro Tests, the German sat eighth overall after lap two, less than two seconds behind seventh place. A sixth-fastest time on the final Extreme Test kept him firmly in contention for a top-10 finish, but an unfortunate mistake on the final Enduro Test dropped him to 11th overall, just over a second shy of 10th. Nevertheless, another third-place Enduro1 finish marked Jeremy’s fifth consecutive class podium since returning from injury.

Following round five, Joyon moves up to third in the overall Junior standings and now sits just five points behind second place with two rounds remaining. In Junior1, he remains second in the championship and continues to apply pressure to the class leader. Sydow climbs to 13th in the overall EnduroGP standings and now sits just three points behind the rider ahead, while in Enduro1 he moves from seventh to fifth thanks to another pair of podium finishes and continues to close in on the championship top three.

Elsewhere, Triumph riders enjoyed further success across multiple categories. Triumph Italia Racing’s Morgan Lesiardo claimed second place in Enduro1 on both days, continuing his strong season. In the Women’s Enduro category, Enduro Engineering rider Shelby Turner enjoyed a historic weekend by securing her first EnduroGP victory on Saturday, marking Triumph’s first Women’s Enduro win and becoming the first Canadian rider to win an EnduroGP round. Turner backed up that result with a second victory on Sunday to complete a perfect weekend in Portugal.

The 2026 FIM EnduroGP World Championship resumes on July 17–19 with the GP of France in Saint-Agrève, the penultimate round of the season.

Leo Joyon

“It’s been a good GP for me overall here in Portugal, although it wasn’t an easy weekend. Today I made a few too many mistakes because I was pushing hard for the win, but that’s all part of the learning process. I’m happy to finish second overall and second in Junior1, and it’s a strong result for the championship. We’ve scored important points and kept ourselves in a good position heading into the final rounds. The bike worked perfectly all weekend and the team did an amazing job, so a big thank you to everyone involved. Now the focus is on France, where I’ll be pushing for another strong result.”

Jeremy Sydow

“Portugal was a challenging weekend for me and unfortunately the results didn’t quite reflect the pace I felt I had. On Sunday I made two costly mistakes in the enduro test, which lost me a lot of time and made it difficult to fight further up the order. That said, it’s still positive to come away with another podium finish and third place overall. There are definitely things to improve, but we can take the positives from the weekend and keep building. A big thank you to the whole team for all their hard work and support. Now the focus is on France, where hopefully we can put everything together and deliver the results we’re capable of.”
